Another good resource to turn to is the US Department of Energy website, it has a few options of energy cost calculators to help you cost costs in your home and business. The calculators will allow you to enter values (e.g., utility rates, hours of use, etc.) to estimate the cost savings from acquiring more efficient products. Some are presented as Web based tools others as Excel spread sheets provided by ENERGY STAR® for download.
Alternatively, ARCH a building energy reference tool provides you with a simple way to calculate how your building’s energy use compares to similar buildings.
